I love mine because it's a green vehicle. Like actually green, really green. It even said it on the window sticker. Excuse me now, I feel the need to go out and hug it , and maybe a tree, too.

Right? now that the hate train has died down and the YouTube clickbait is fading people are starting to think for themselves. Maybe it turns out to be a POS… but damn… hivemind echo chamber was intense for the 4th gen until lately

Lol...I love that about Mts.... Less people to drive your truck... Luckily I'm totally fine wish being a prick and kindly declining to lend my truck, so someone can move a couch, saving them $30 from a uhaul at the expense of my $40k truck.

After I bought my 2016 MT used with 55K and joined the forum and saw all the rips on the 2016 model year, I was a little nervous, but I am really enjoying the truck. Sealed up the timing cover leak myself from outside. I like the way it looks and I like the simplicity of not having all the TSS technology. The MT makes it fun to drive. Do I wish it had more low end torque like my old 2007, sure, but overall I think it was a good find and hoping to keep it a long time.

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
I seriously considered flying to Mexico, and driving back with a new Hilux. Unfortunately, my first gen crapped out before I could really research the technicalities of doing so. I'm loving my 3rd gen, but it's definitely a lot bigger than I want or need.

I honestly feel like my truck just keeps getting better and better somehow. I'm at 90k miles now and it is a better runner than it was 0-30k miles. I have fewer issues, or did until I posted this..., and it seems to run stronger now than it ever did. Once I hit about 70k miles, the truck just noticeably ran stronger than before with no appreciable changes to driving habits or load.

I was really set on moving on after better than 7 years of ownership, but I have cooled on the idea so much I just put the money I had saved up into an investment.

Bodywise it is gathering dings at an alarming rate, but my Taco is used for work and is asked to do a lot more than a typical DD. No real rust, except for underbody issues which I have used rust reformer and bathes to combat since new. My trailer hitch is the worst offender here by far.

I sometimes wish it was "more", but it's been paid off for years and other than gas, routine maintenance items and insurance, the truck has cost me almost nothing to own for years.

It's been exactly why I bought a Toyota.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

I take slight issue with number 6. Improvement yes, but "vast" maybe not.

    6MT
Great looks especially after I put some nice wheels and tints on
Can tow my Lancer Evo if needed. Yes a full size truck is preferable, but my truck can do the job.
Truck is plenty capable off-road even when stock
I do like the interior especially for a truck

It's very easy to load my 14 ft. lg. canoe on my rack system. Couldn't do that with a full size truck like a F-150 or Silverado. It has been very reliable with no issues after 67,000 miles and 4-1/2 years. I bought the right truck to do the things I enjoy doing!

I’m liking the steering wheel controls, didn’t have them on my 1st Gen Dbl cab. I really like the longer bed on this Access cab too…overall , I’m digging this 3rd Gen so far…

Mine felt like a well designed, high quality vehicle when I first sat in it in June of 2016. Now with less than 25,000 miles it feels the same but with original tires made in 2016.

6MT, last year of the V6, looks great, simple outside and inside, just the right amount of tech, it’s paid off, last year of the classics… and…. here’s the best part. No engine start/stop button or auto start/stop… I still have to use a key and my engine stays on at traffic lights. Old school all the way and hanging on to it as long as I can.

I know I can climb curbs instead of waiting for traffic.
Which leads me to believe that this Off Road model will get me to safety, if it truly has to be my bugout vehicle. :turtleride:

I like having doors to my access cab and the Lunar Rock color. Can't get that in G4!
