    Just purchased, armor on order
    Hello everyone in TacomaWorld,

Purchased a new, Green 2012 Double Cab 4x4 , short bed with the Off Road package a few days ago. Making the switch from Nissan to Toyota. Giving the Frontier to my son.

The dealer is making a few changes to the truck before I pick it up. Swapping out the Silver alloy rims for black steel OEM rims; and, they getting rid of the chrome trim on the front of the truck.

Then placed an order from Blue Lake Offroad.com for some armor. They are just a few hours South of me. Going to be a 6 to 8 week wait. Going to be a long wait.

My buddies & I do a lot of volunteer work on the motorcycle single track trails in the Cherokee NF. Have to add a tool box in the back of the truck for chainsaw, polaski's, and fire rakes.

    My two wheel rig:

I'll post some pics of the 4x4 rig when I pick it up.

Good choice for a 2 wheel work machine. Have a play machine?

Lot's of play machines. :) We live in the Mecca for motorcycles!

BMW R1200RT, Guzzi V7 Cafe Racer, KTM 690 Duke, BMW G650X-Challenge , the TW200 trail mule, TLR200 trials bike, and a loaner DR125 for the kids. Wife's got a couple of her own bikes too.

100 miles South of Dead Horse, AK last June:

We got in at 1am in a snow storm. Only fools on the road.

After a couple weeks waiting for them to swap the wheels out & change the front chrome trim, I finally picked up the truck:

Very nice collection. I'm a member of a local off road club. Hold a national dual sport ride every year. 600ish riders over a weekend. Great ride! Plus myself and a lot of the club ride trials. Have a couple young riders that hold national titles. (expert and 125 expert) check out the page at the bottom of my post

I don't know anything about bikes, but have wanted a little dual sport for a while, that TW200 looks perfect! Not that I am doing anything anytime soon. Its going to be an uphill battle with the wife.

TW200's are awesome if you're riding around the woods. If you have to ride very far to get to the woods, they are better trailered. Top speed on mine is around 50mph. It holds up soccer moms in mini-vans.
