    Hello all, I soldered the surface resistor back on after my temp/compass went out. This lasted for about 2 weeks it went out again. I opted to solder the resistor instead of paying $900 bucks. Well I decided to fix it again and called Toyota just to see and to my amazement it was $150 so I bought a new one and installed it. I guess Toyota realized the problem and lowered the cost
