Like much of the country, we have had a heat wave lately with triple digit temps for several days. Yesterday, we were going to a friends for dinner and I was looking right at my temperature when the display vanished. I guess I'll have to try and see if the solder fix works on mine. I sure hope so.

    neglect, mostly.
it's an easy fix. just follow the instructions in the tutorial, and be VERY careful with the plastic clips on the display. they break easily :anonymous:

Good luck with the fix. It's pretty easy.

We have triple digit heat for months on end. The display broke in both of my Tacomas within about the first 5 months of ownership.

Well, wasn't that easy? As careful as I was, I still snapped a clip on the cover. After I got the cover off, it was easy to see what the problem was. I soldered each side of both resistors, just in case.

Got it back together and...............it's alive!!!! Many thanks to the TW forum.
