temp control doing wierd things help!!!!!!!!!!!

my blower motor works fine, but when the temp selector is all the way hot nothing comes out of the vents. i can hear the blower working at high speed but nothing at the vents. i have checked the linkage of the temp selector under the dash and it is functioning properly. its cold here i need help.

With mine, there is often nothing coming out of the vents unless it is ON the high setting. We have to hit the dash (below the glovebox) to get it going.

Hopefully someone else will have more information.

 

What do you have on the far right dial. What is that selected at. Do you have the A/C button on what about the circulating button is it on or off.

Does it blow any air when you turn it to cold?

 

ac is on and the temp selector on cold works as it should blowing strong at the vents and it is not in recycle mode. it works the same wheather the AC is on or off the far right dial dosent matter either it works the same in any selections when it is on hot it does not blow. thanks for the help

 

Seems like I saw another thread on this forum about stripped gears in the HVAC causing this problem. Somewhere...
