I have a set of Icon 2.5 Coilovers and an Icon Add a Leaf. I am planning on installing everything tomorrow, but i may run out of time and not get to the front. Is it ok if I temporarily lift the rear with the add a leaf before I install the front coilovers?

    Thanks in advance.

Ps. I am running Bilstein 5100s all around rn, and I am going to use the rear shocks with the add a leaf.

Sure, won't hurt anything. You'll just have to put up with the super raked look until you get to the front.

Sure thing. You will be fine. Shouldn’t mess up your alignment up either.

Thanks for the advice. I've got the bilsteins set to level the truck, so the rear should only be 1.5" higher than the front in theory. Hopefully it wont look to weird.

I am gonna take it in for an alignment when I finish lifting it. Is there any way that the rear could be messed up at all?

Not unless you really manage to mess something up with the leafs. I would recommend running the truck around a couple hundred miles to get everything settled before getting it aligned if you can. I did that and didn't have any problems, but my buddy got his aligned immediately and he ended up with bad tire wear after his setup settled out of alignment.

Hmm, I haven't heard that, but I will take it into account. Would you say going wheeling is ok before I get it aligned, or should I wait until after everything settles?

If anything, it'll probably help it settle faster. I honestly can't say whether or not it'll be okay, but typically the main issues with a bad alignment are bad tire wear and handling.

I did my rears one weekend, the fronts the following weekend.

It isn't as bad as you think it'll be.

Absolutely this. If you take it down the road and it "feels ok" then run it a bit to get everything settled before alignment. Mine drove fine after and I ended up with almost 500 miles on it on brand new tires before I had it aligned. No issues.

You'll be fine. I remember when I had a old s10 that I lowered, I did the front and didn't have enough time to do that back in the same day and drove to work the next day lowered 3 inches in the front and stock in the back and it was fine
