Any of you fellow 3rd gen owners ready or thinking of taking the dive and getting a 4th gen? Is anyone else feeling the temptation to drive something different? Gotta admit after a long stretch of 3rd gen ownership dating back to early 2017 I am getting that itch to try out a new model tacoma. I do of course have some fear of the unknown lol. Open to discussion and thoughts!

No for me as well. I’ve spent to much time and money on my truck and I have too many good memories with it to get rid of it. Plus there’s nothing wrong with my truck and the 4th gen pricing is absurd.

Yeah I mean if I could do a trade and keep the same monthly payment without extending my loan then maybe I would consider it just for practical reasons. But not the way things are now.

I can tell you the first thing you notice is the transmission is much better to drive with.

The truck is "busy" with tech, but some like that. I always liked the 3rd gen interior for layout, but hated the steering wheel lack of telescoping.

Cost it the most prohibitive thing, they are way more expensive, and dont really offer much more as a truck. Especially with similar MPGs.

If they were priced with 3rd gens pre-covid I'd be more enthusiastic about them, but its a hard sell for me at current prices.

Nope. Not a fan of the new design and the price on the pro is ridiculous.

Wouldn't do it with your money.

I have a perfectly good 2021 with 20,000 miles on it and I owe about $3,000 on it.
It's tricked out just the way I want it ( nothing special but still ) and the 3rd Gens are proven pretty reliable.

    A bird in the hand....

Don’t want to get rid of my 3G for one necessarily but I’d really like to add a 4th gen MT to the collection. Maybe in a few years.

I’m torn between 4th gen and 3rd gen in looks honestly both are great. 3rd gen is and always will be a classic design

Too new. I’ll let them iron out all the wrinkles before I pay the premium they’re asking.

nope. if anything i'll go older. far too much tech even in the 3rd gen for me. the only thing i'm jealous of in the 4th gen is the redesigned frame and suspension. the rest of it, from the pre-dented body panels, to the safety nannies, can take a hike.
