If I had to buy tomorrow, it would be between the Pro4x and the F150. At the price bracket that Toyota has bumped up to, I'd rather have a topless Gladiator.

However, I love my 3rd gen and it's not getting traded unless/until the insurance totals it out.

I had an opportunity to buy a new truck, but just went and bought another 2016 access cab. the 4th gens just dont appeal to me. price is kind of stupid as well. i dont want to drive a 50k (depreciating asset) truck back and forth to work and there isnt really anything that impressive about the 4th gen either. just seems overpriced for that privilege when there are plenty of good options out there with the 3rd gens. also timing doesnt seem good with all the issues toyota is having as well. ... so i just skipped it and bought another 3rd gen.

major factor was no TRD OR for the 2024 extended cab. Really liked the 3rd gen access cab.

I'm getting too old to buy any more trucks. I'll probably kick the bucket in my 3rd Gen waiting in line at Costco gas station.

No, I intend to drive mine until the wheels fall off. I bought mine in September 2022 and I have 50,500 miles. Most of that was on 33s. I’m hoping it hit 300k and then maybe I’d go with the 4th gen. Honestly, I’d rather have a mint 1st gen but the 4th gen’s look nice.

No Thanks for me. My rig will be paid off this year. Built this rig the way I want. Till the wheels fall off!! Plus the 4Gen is hideous.

Nope, my 18 runs fine, have 64,000 miles on it and see no reason to change. After 20 years of Tacoma's, if I make a change it will be to a Colorado/Canyon

My 2nd gen is one of my all time favorite vehicles. I’d be an idiot to trade it for a new and untested truck. Especially since the new ones have far too much nanny state crap on them.
I’ll admit that they looked interesting in the initial pictures, but upon seeing them in person, not so much. The price tag is also unappealing to me.

Sucks everything has to be a baby monitor now. we already pay monthly for a cell phone that literally can triangulate your location at almost any moment. in 100 years or possibly less everything will be a social credit system

The 4th gen may get me back to a Tacoma. I simply cannot stand the pairing between the 3rd gen auto transmission and motor, and unfortunately my wife is tiny and had issues shifting a manual, which is actually a decent pairing.

I recently found an ultra low mile 2nd gen and almost pulled the trigger, but test drove a 24 trd or and was really impressed. Toyota has a track record with Tacomas of dialing in trucks by year 3, so I would likely wait for at least a 26.

I don't need any more vehicles, but the 2nd gen still might be in my driveway soon.

My Tacomas are the only vehicles I ever regret selling.

Just for grins, I went over to the Toyota site to check on RAV4, Tacoma and Tundra.
Every damn one of them is an EV.

My 2023 and my wife's 2016 RAV are the last Toyotas we will ever buy.
No EVs for us under any cirumstances.

Most of the Tundras sold are not hybrids. Just the iForce Max.

lots of people keep talking about the "ultra high" 5-10% interest rates lately, but it seems everyone has entirely forgotten that more than 20 years ago, it was commonplace for most financing rates to be 10-20%. my parents first mortgage was "ultra low" at 12% in the 80's, my grandparents were really proud they got 17% in the 50's. my neighbor built his house in the 70's, and remembers how happy he was to secure a 14% rate.

Average home prices relative to average income for a given area are also not what they were in the 50s or 70s.

Home prices are really out pacing pay. use to be 300k could buy you a home and a few acres ... now you get a cookie cutter home propped up against the next house
