Hey guys so i am trying to plan out what i want to do to my truck but have a few questions some of yall may be able to answer. I have a single cab base model, but would like to put a cap on it, so i would have more space for storage for items to keep dry being as i have a single cab. In addition I plan on getting the teui ayer tent, is it possible to add a rack to the cap and attach the tent that way or is there a small roof rack for the cab for the tent, and would the cab or roof be able to handle the load or would it be too much and concave the cap and or cab. I have also seen the voodo bars they make for the bed to install a tent but then i would loose all the space for a cab? any thoughts or answers or suggestions help thank you!

Single cab is too small of a surface area to support the tent. My .02 get a cap and a good, quality roof rack. The voodoo bed bars are not compatible with a cap. Here's my setup:

thank you geekhouse23 for the input! So your cab has no issues with holding the weight? or did you put extra support inside the cab? Your setup is awesome though thanks!

No issues and no extra support.

The the thing to understand about the ratings they provide are static versus dynamic weight limits. If you have a good quality roof rack that distributes weight evenly, you won't have any issues.

I'm thinking about selling my ARE CX topper. 6' bed length. It has rhino rack bars on it- 400lbweught rating. FYI.
