I use a bungee cord and hook it to my roof rack to keep the widow awning open. Works pefectly.

Might be a little late to this thread, but you can have ANY tepui RTT shipped to your local REI. I haven't tried this yet... but have been told by staff to go to the customer service desk with the model & details of what you want... from ANY manufacturer they carry. They'll contact the company and order the unit, for MSRP and free shipping to the store. Not a bad deal!! Tepui offers 10% off for TW, but that basically covers shipping.

The RTT is next on my build list - for next month - so I'll let you know if there are any snags!

 

That's the route that I went.

If you have it shipped to your home/business, you can refuse delivery if the carrier shows up with a crushed box. I wasn't sure if I could be present at delivery time, so I went the REI route.

When I got there the box was pretty torn up and had footprints on the top. The manager was pretty cool about opening the box up and helping me inspect it before we loaded it up for the trip home.

The $150 worth of dividends was pretty cool too. I'll be using that towards a new camp stove.

 

@TepuiTents I may have missed it previously, but I've seen some folks with black covers and some with gray. Do we get to choose or is it just how the dice fall with whichever model we choose? I'm considering purchasing through REI as well...

The Black covers come with the Ruggedized models and the Grey covers are on all the standard (non-ruggedized) models.

Looking for a ruggedized kukenam for my short bed tacoma. Cheaper to go through REI for the free shipping, or to try to use one of the discount codes on this thread?

 

Max discount through Tepui direct is 10% off and must pay shipping. I haven't found a better discount except for buying through REI, and I've been shopping it pretty hard.

REI will be full retail, of any model, but free shipping and you get 10% back in your dividend of you purchase now.

I'm waiting for my dividend and the April member sale (generally 20% off a single item). Won't get the dividend, but 20% off is a lot better!

 

Is the anti condensation mat easy to cut to size? I don't have a tepui...

I have been talking with @Box Rocket about my defective Black Kukenam XL Ruggedized cover. The insertion pin at the beginning of the zipper broke off, preventing me from getting the zipper started. It was a PITA to get it going.... Within 2 business days, my Black Kukenam XL Ruggedized cover will be shipped to me free of charge under the warranty program.
