I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I'm making brackets that fit around round tube better. Most RTT's come with flat brackets and they dont work well with round tube.

This is true. I may have to snag a set from you a little later. The flat hold it tight, the new tepui hardware is much better than the older stuff. Mine held well wheeling into my last spot, but they bend when you tighten them too much.

Yeah that's what i didn't like about them I seen them bend when tightened I'm working on a die to bend a one piece bracket that fits nicely around the tube and is strong.

I'm gonna have to get some of these. The flat brackets hold but using a flat bar to hold onto a round tube is a little sketchy. Do you have any pics of these brackets that you're making?

The lock nuts barely bite on the bolts on mine. I had to bend the bar slightly to get it snug. Yes it does work though and holds good.

I know man it kinda scares me. They held pretty good for the maiden voyage though. I just want a little more security.

X2 Jlee in your design will it be lockable at least on 2 Of them? Or dies anyone have a locking idea? I live down town Denver and would love the have them lock. I have lockable racks but with a 12mm wrench someone can still come by and swipe it.

I don't know how we could do lockable seeing how the bolts are so small.

I don't either, but I'm not as creative as you so I figured I'd throw it your way and see. Maybe ill just use a bunch of locktite.

If you could use a bigger bolt couldn't you drill a whole through the bolt so you could put a lock though it?

Yep, IF you could use a bigger bolt. The track system for the tent won't allow for a larger bolt. A lock through the bolt would be perfect.

Or even something as simple a security bolt would be enough to slow a thief down.

That is a genius idea. Maybe ill wait for your hardware first though. I plan on leaving mine attached to the rack. I have another rack for everything else.
