I left that part out thanks Rich, the questions about service id ask but as far as the gas I wouldnt. Both my 2012 2.7 single cab 4x4 and my 2012 DCSB 4X4 put another 2 gallons or so once it hit F. Why? I have no idea thats why it seems like the first the first quarter tank seems to last awhile then after that its all downhill literally.

people dont believe it but if i drive super easy nearly 30mpg. i average about 26 usually though. my truck is stock except for take off prerunner wheels from a 2010 and i run higher air pressure than the stock 29 recommended. i keep the hubs unlocked all the time and the little 2.7 just sips on the fuel

I was just talking with my of my co-workers. The gas from a dealer is left in the ground for a while. Being that this is a 10% ethanol area and could be that the gas has some water in it maybe. Just an idea and running everything through my head.

i dunno about the dealer you bought from but here the sales people here(at all the different stealerships) keep a company card and just run to a store down the road to get gas

To be honest I'm not sure at all about the deal ship gas. But the salesman left and was gone no longer than 5 min. It's completely possible, I didn't watch him.

Okay... ya... OEM filter = clean MAF.

And yes, the butterfly gets some shit on it. I cleaned the butterfly and bore on my '03 Tundra at about 100k. Maybe the idle smoothed out a bit, hard to tell because that 4.7 was always baby-butt-smooth, but other than that, the only result was a high idle until the ECU relearned the proper idle position for the butterfly.
I'm getting a bit of roughness in the idle on my 2.7... should have hit the TBI when I had the intake opened to do the plugs, but I wasn't feeling well and wanted to get it overwith.
    New PCV might help too.

I average 260 miles from full to gas light (16.5 gallons) = 15-16 MPGs per tank.

-2005 Access Cab 4x4 with BFGs 285/75/16 + matching spare, and 80-100 pound sliders.

    Depends.

I've watched dealerships drive my new car across the street to fill up (or ask me to stop at the end of the test drive), and I've watched dealerships take it to a pump by the service bays.

Larger dealers will have their own tank of gasoline, but probably not Diesel.

It does have water, you have to realize if they have a really really good day and sell 20 cars which is unrealistic it takes a little gas out of their tank. Gas stations see atleast 20 cars an hour which also takes a little out but this happens 24 hours a day. I go to the same gas station for my Truck because they are close, busy and I always see them filling the tanks while im getting out of work, so I know the gas hasn't been there awhile. I went to the same station when I had my CUMMINS in fear of water not because of MPG but of it blowing up my motor. Some water in gas isnt as bad as water in diesel because you just loose some MPG where in diesel it is an expensive fix and why they MUST have a water separator.

    On a '96? I'd believe it.

My '94 normally got about 18, but on the highway from Vegas to Phoenix, holding it right on 55 the whole way, I pulled 33mpg out of that little 22RE.

Her foot is probably carrying a good 75-90 pounds less than yours.....
    Just a thought... Log into
    http://www.toyota.com/owners/web/pages/home
Create a userID for yourself, plug in your truck's VIN, and it should bring up the any service history that has been put into TIS.
