Maybe my love for OR’s ride has to do with DCLB then

A spinebuster? I can't imagine that a new Truck stock is such a terrible ride that it would send someone to the Chiropractor and if it was, why was it purchased after the test drive?

I'm thinking if you're talking a stiff jar feel when hitting small bumps and highway cracks, the springs and the sway bar have more to do with the initial feel of such road imperfections. The shock is calibrated for how fast the suspension rebounds after hitting an obstacle ? Tell me I'm wrong... it's just, any time I've added extra leaf springs of heavier coil springs to carry more weight these are the same results that bothers him.

Drive it empty and you’ll hate it. Put some weight in the back and try it again.

I thought the K Car was from 1981, not the 70's.

If you want 1970's cars, think big, think no handing, think pimp mobile, think Ford Thunderbird.

I had a 77 Cougar, basically the same car in hs.... slow off the line but could cruise the highways with no issues.

17" wheels should be the max on all trucks. After that it's just a Flintstone mobile...

    Interesting comments about 17"

My TRD Sport is on 17" stock wheels on 265/65-17 rubber. It rides just like a truck should. Firm when empty, smooth when loaded, not harsh ride on any road.

Guess, I got a Unicorn truck with a good ride.

I bought an apple pie at the store and couldn’t believe how much it tasted like apples when I got home. I was SO disgusted! I hate apples! Should I complain to the store? So confused...

Threaten to involve the regional bakery counter rep. Clearly you paid enough for it to taste like a half-sheet cobbler, and that's how it should taste.

My little bastard was 9 inches longer than the same model year's Suburban. Never tapped a bumper when paralleling it, but that chrome could take out a construction barrel at 70mph, unscathed. :anonymous::anonymous:

Also, hopefully you were enough of an antisocial miscreant to be comfortable going without conversation, in those days. If the ride was longer than 20 minutes, your passengers fell asleep more often than not.

Did not taste anything like the things I want it to taste like. This apple pie just tastes like apples. No cherry flavor, no blueberry, just filthy apples! How do they get away with this stuff!? I guess I could have taken advantage of the taste test they were offering at the counter at the time, but in my defense I didn’t because I didn’t want to.

I took mine in a 1977 VW Rabbit, made the Parallel Parking, 3 Point Turn, and Serpentine parts of the test a little more manageable.

Mines exactly the same. I think we are just used to trucks and how they ride....

I drove a skid loader for a summer. You want a harsh ride......that thing was like riding a basketball.

Plus the challenge of controlling everything using your hands and feet while bouncing all over........

Glad that was a Summer job between semesters. Took a year for my kidneys to settle into their normal locations.

But did you complain that your skid loader rode like a skid loader? That’s the real question...
