Nope.... I was happy to be in the skid loader and not on the power end of a round nose shovel.

We run these guys at our plants. They don't have suspension components. Nor do they need them. Bumps in the road tend to move out of their way.

OK, not the best of terms. It was a lot worse than the way it is now. I bought it because I liked it and knew that it rides different than all the old unibody vehicles my wife and I had owned beforehand. And now it rides how I want it to.

Lots of people coming from the world of small cars and unibody construction are going to have the same experience and learnings.

More like Andre the Giant of vehicles. If it wants to sit in the hotel lobby and pound 5 cases of beer, who are you to try and stop it?

Mine was a 77 (maybe 76) Rabbit also!! Mars red color...I totaled it the day after/couple of days after (can't remember) - the 2nd time I got to drive alone....I was waiving at a girl and the car in front of me stopped to turn...Hard to look cool in a Rabbit, even harder in a totaled one.

I can tell you my sr5 is very sensitive to tire pressure when looking to improve the ride. A couple psi too much and you really notice the change. I can tell you those stock firestones on a tacoma didn't help either. I install my slightly larger goodyears from my old tundra which made a noticeable improvement

My son has been driving skid steers for the past several years as summer/after school jobs...that along with tractor work, construction, landscaping, etc....I'm looking into buying one now for our farm - you can do SO much more than I can do with our tractor!!!!! I've actually never driven one...he says he can teach me fairly easy...as he heads off to college in a few months.

I think I might have the winner here; I took my driver's test in a 72 VW Van. The state trooper who was in the vehicle looked at me and said "close enough for this thing" when I attempted the parallel parking test. :)

My youngest took hers in my wife's GMC High Top (Explorer) Conversion Van...I think she did it on purpose (she has a vehicle)...we live in a rural area...they didn't make her do anything other than drive around the small town and park in the parking lot where she took the test. But - yeah the VW would be harder I think...the conversion van has cameras (LOL).

FWIW, the road that CAT is rolling on is in much better condition than the local roads.

No potholes, RR tracks, parts, stop lights, cell phone drivers, bicycles, pedestrians, ............

I’m actually a big fan of that color. Thought once or twice about converting my Indian Chief into that creamsicle scheme.

This post got off track and I think OP left the building. OP, like all of us spent a lot of money with reasonable expectations on his specific trim he chose. Today's modern TRUCK'S shouldn't ride like its got no suspension or kidney damaging trauma vehicle but comfortable enough. Who knows, he may have a bad suspension part somewhere to give him the conditions he's having. If he's looking for the softest ride can we all agree that the Off Road suspension is the way to go. Like many have stated, it should be easy to find a OR suspension on the cheap. OP, someone also pointed out that 17's should be the biggest wheel for a truck and I agree. TW $.02

Crying out loud these are not humungous full size pickups that now have a car like ride. You can make a tacoma more that way, but don't expect very much of its ability to go off-road. I had a 4wd tundra that was very plush with its wider wheelbase, but there was a huge difference in snow, and on muddy roads with deep ruts. Places i got stuck with my tundra, even in 4wd are handled with ease in 2wd with this tacoma.

My previous ride was a '05 Ranger FX4. Felt every bump in the road, seats were terrible, and my wife hated it. Drove it for 13.5 years.

My new '21 Limited rides waaaay better than that Ranger and is loaded with all the goodies. I even keep my PSI at 37 and it STILL rides better than the old Ranger.

Just perspective, I guess. Every time I get in my new truck I think: so glad I finally upgraded my ride!

OP, you just need to adjust your expectations and you will probably get used to it. Get the OR shocks and move down to 17" wheels to soften it up if needed.
