    My brother's theory as to why the straight pipers never get pulled over is because the chipies have their own straight pipe hogs, and they wouldn't want to get pulled over themselves, so they just don't do it to any of them in case it's another badge.

    As bad as it looks, it’s a better deal than any other Tesla. $40k is the price of a base Model 3, and this is far “more” for the money. So it’ll sell well.

    That's roughly 1/3rds of the tire diameter as rubber (assuming that it's actually a round tire underneath and the other bits are just cladding/cover and not actually heptagonal with reduced amounts of rubber at those edges), which is pretty in line with most trucks.
