I'm close to pulling the trigger on this before an Xmas rd trip. Anyone have a good pic the rear of the unit? Does it have rca outputs? I'd like to ditch all factory speakers/amp. Run rca from hu to new amp to all speakers

 

If it helps the unit comes with this harness of rca plugs

 

I have a video which showed the back of the unit. It does have pre outs but the are on a harness not directly on the unit.

I have mine running on a kicker key 4 channel amp and a Jl xd500 for the sub

I had a similar issue when ordering mine so I created an account with their website and then logged in and placed my order so when checking out all the address and phone numbers were already in there.

 

Anybody?

 

Its been covered a few times but if you want it you’ll need to download their app to the head unit. I personally don’t use it so I can’t say how well it works or what’s involved.

Never had to verify my number like this before....but he replied through whatsaapp later last night and asked for my PayPal email to process through there. Replied this morning. Hopefully I can get it before Dec 22nd. Just a last minute decision to make the 900 mile drive more enjoyable

 

Anyone else try to register recently? Seems every number I use gives me that error. Guessing it's a problem on their side

 

What plug do you connect the SharkFin adapter to?

 

Just installed mine and everything seems to be great with the exception that in my climate controls hot = cold ie: i have to set it at 80 to get cold air anything below that is heat ? is there a menu setting i am missing ?

edit - well heck everything is not even close to fine… the “ car auto “ aka apple car play has a ton of problems

- i was only able to place one call successfully and the other person could barely hear me and now when i make a phone call there is zero volume on both ends

- the “ car auto “ loses its link to my phone after a call so you have to pick up your phone and reestablish a bt link each time

- the mic volume during a call when it does work is useless unless you are parked and put your face right up to the mic


so who has the contact info for that software update i’ve read about ?

 

curious if you got some sort of harness for a newer 2nd gen. Or the deeper menu has a model year selection option to correct it. Didn’t somewhere in the mix 2nd gen hvac become pinned opposite or along those lines?

i don’t have a shark fin, i believe it’s been covered in this thread a few times that you need to buy an adapter if you have one
