Quick question for anyone seeing this, does anyone know how far xenon fender flares stick out past the stock fenders, I’m trying to decide on a better wheel

Tonight I was able to finish up the rear coilover mounts, put a 1.5 inch pipe across and made some tabs off of them to catch the coilovers, now I can get some coilovers ordered up since I have ride height figured out

also welded some brake hose brackets on for the rear brakes

now I need to put some paint on things and make some brake lines then I’ll be able to put the bed back on

Got a little bit more work done

Started knocking out the two batteries that are going under the frame, I used part of the battery box that the model 3 batteries came in and cut the sides off of it. I built a frame to sit it on that bolts in between the frame rails. I then drilled holes and bolted the battery frame onto the frame I made6B9469AA-CE37-4E34-9461-E6976E0F1B7D.jpgEEAE8573-B189-4C10-9093-45927D1366C6.jpg 325C8508-D29B-45A7-A970-63DC595CF0E7.jpgok then I took it back out and picked up a large sheet of .040 aluminum to basically cover everything up. Then used some good ol Valcan to seal everything up
    12B75609-B354-4F65-8210-11B95C7C1421.jpg 615AF1FE-3A38-4711-8003-2E2294174E15.jpg

Then bolted that all back in and was able to put the bed back on to see what I was messing with

    25BCA91A-AF0A-4843-A466-E67D2859F9CA.jpg

It was a fail lol. I knew the wheels were sticking out a lot further than stock but didn’t know how low the truck was sitting.

after a little trimming with a rough cut it’s going to work out just fine, this is ride height by the way

3A7B221A-2ED8-4E27-9DE5-B72A76061BD6.jpg C4114532-EF02-4F6B-A825-77B4B16AA5AC.jpg FAFA2A39-70E1-4585-814E-CD5C604E7219.jpg I picked up my battery box from a local fab shop so that’s next on my list, after putting the bed batteries in then i can get a total rear weight and order rear coil overs

Subbed. I would love to do something like this in the future when EV conversion tech has matured a bit more. Props to you for pioneering the way for the rest of us!

Wonder if you could roll the fenders far enough to cover em up. Or maybe someone makes some +2" fiberglass for that truck.

Don't short yourself, there are already so many solutions out there. EVWest has a million different configurations that are basically turn key (plus welding). For engine management companies like AEM have already been in the market for a while now allowing full control/tuning of EV drive trains.

Crazy I haven’t updated this since I put the rear Tesla wheels on, well I’m just about done with it but haven’t gotten many pictures of the progress because I’ve been grinding away, I’ll do a full video when it’s on the road, the last piece of the puzzle has been ordered for it to be on the road and that’s the controller for the drive unit and battery pack. So hopefully next week im doing burnouts

    Couple pictures from today,

I upgraded the factory model 3 performance rear sway bar with a massive one from ZZPerformance and finally got the rear Ridetech coilovers installed, figured I take some pictures before I put the wheels on for the final time

    7B0D5113-2F65-4D48-B848-C2234879DB12.jpg 977616C8-736F-414C-91E0-13EC2CEC8915.jpg 8C333F5F-198D-49A0-A405-D4B843B0B8E9.jpg

also I didn’t like how the rotiform wheels fit the front with such a high offset so I found some badazz Rays Gramlights with a more better offset and are 18x9.5, I have a feeling with so much weight in the rear I was going to need a wider tire up front

    stance is looking great

Hell yea that’s sick! Any idea what the charge range might be? Also is the charge port in the gas cap, that would be neat :D
