Years ago I had a 2007 Tacoma, was a 3rd vehicle while I built a house, just a standard cab 4x4 base model. Dealer finally had a TRD pro sitting on the lot, and it was a manual with no sun roof...the combo i'd want. Took it for a good test drive today and I was pleasantly surprised! Last fall I test drove a limited auto and was not impressed, the engine and tranny felt a tad sluggish and I favored the Colorado Z71 I drove after that. But today's test drive left me wanting the TRD Pro Manual combo. The engine has plenty of pep, although in the slightly higher RPM's, and makes for a fun sized truck to drive around. The Fox suspension is great, soaks up the frost heaves and pot holes here in the NE quite well, better than the Limited for sure. On road handling was tight, and actually made the truck feel nimble and sporty...for a truck.

Lease on my Beamer wagon is up early fall...going to be a long few months. But I'm 90% sure I'll be putting in an order for a 2019 TRD Pro Manual now, was really impressed after today's test drive.

Agreed, the pro was a nice change from some of the other trim levels. I love mine!

A tune will change the power delivery. So, don’t give up on the low end.

I bet that was pretty awesome to drive around, you don't have to fear the Sunroof as it's not available on the Pro

they are nice. I test drove the auto trd pro this weekend and honestly I thought it was real nice. It had no issues. Now I drive a 16 Colorado z71 diesel now and it is solid and smooth not fast but real good on hyw and I like it but I loved the 18 pro and it was auto. I bet the manual is fun

The pro has the best of all handling characteristics. It’s ride is plush, like an OR (only better), and it’s cornering is more controlled like a sport.

i have one and would buy it again. when i got it the power delivery was piss poor as was the bottom end, the seats were brutal, and it swayed around the road like a boat. so i worked over the suspension and seats, installed the OV ECU flash, got new wheels & tires, and did a ton of other too-expensive shit, and it's become a dream, my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. just love the thing.

get the OV tune and you'll be surprised. it's raining here now and i can barely keep any traction on the rear up through 3rd gear. the motor is more capable than many know about.

dealer finally got the pro I want in and I know it will be gone fast and I am just worried about the seat position and comfort as I am in it 35k a year. I really like the truck and ready to trade my 16 diesel Colorado in at 53k.

I thought the seat position was uncomfortable at first. Then, something happened, one day I realized I was comfortable. Didn’t expect that to happen.

i spent $200 at an upholstery shop and they fixed my seat 100%! I've posted about it a few times. i was gonna sell the truck it was so uncomfortable. it's now good for endless hours of driving. been cross country and still comfy after 10-12 hours.

yeah I was one you sent me the upholstery shop in Dallas you used. That is honestly the only worry I have and if I can spend even a thousand dollars and I know for sure it wont be issue would be more than fine. I appreciate the update.

Wet Okole will go a long way toward making any seat more comfy as they have foam backing on the neoprene, although more than you paid :)

It is so weird that this is an issue and I guess many don't have the issue I don't know but about every review on it they all say it is hard to get comfortable. Maybe it is a fight through it and get used to it then it is fine. No way this many people get them and trade for new ones if they comfortable . crazy.

They’re decent, but what I need is to be a little lower to the ground. Maybe an inch, two tops. If I could manually adjust the seat down, there wouldn’t be an issue

it would be so easy they could of dropped the floor 3 in and then added up and down with no issues without changing the style at all
