I actually hated the fake hood scoop enough to change my dealership's order to a TRD Off-Road. That'll put my build date out even further than July, but I can wait. Yes, I know, MAJOR air quotes around the word "order". I know I can always fly cross-country one way, find one out of state and drive it home if I wanted it today, but I need to wait before pulling the trigger on this.

I can respect a solid Richard Pryor Brewster's Millions pull. Such a good movie. Adjusted for inflation, would make a good Brewster's Millions part 2.

I never liked stock 3G sport wheels. I upgraded to SEMA wheels before I drove it off the lot.

We are fooling ourselves, most Tacoma owners are not going to keep their Truck for the next 10-15 yrs.

Give it a few yrs and they’ll sell us right into the 2030 Tacoma EV with new battery technology and a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds. And yes most of you will be right there doing a trade in.

This is one of the reasons why I got rid of my 3rd gen. We are on the cusp of big change.

I think you are exactly correct. When Toyota gets something finally figured out, they get it right. It's currently a work in progress. They currently have hybrids pretty well handled. Depending on if true EVs really stick, or we meet in the middle with a Plug In EV, like the RAV4 or Prius Prime, that will be the Tacoma to have. Tacoma Prime perhaps. Best of both worlds if they do it right.
