So my 16 sport saved my life the other day, hit at 50mph by a GMC 1500 and rolled over. definately getting another. i liked my sport but considering off road, mostly stick to trails and the beach. Pros and cons?

Sorry about the truck, hope you are ok. Test drive the OR, it has a smoother ride.

First... Welcome to TW! Sucks about your truck, but the most important thing is that you're ok. As for getting the Off Road package, it really depends on how you use it. The biggest thing the off road has going for it is the rear locker. The crawl control is "ok", but kind of gimmicky in my opinion. That being said, there are people on here that have used it and like it. Other than that they are mostly the same. If the Sport was working good for you and you can get a good deal on one then maybe stick with that. On the other hand, you found your self wishing you had that rear locker at times, then get the off road. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong.

Go for the Off-road. Driving the beach, you may get a kick out of the Crawl Control! 2020's are just around the corner and will come with power seats, if that is of importance to you.

Glad you are alive and relatively ok. Looks like the thing could still run/drive, does it?

Edit: Have a sport and wish I could have a rear locker (OR) now... but the sunglasses holder... hard choices.

From factory? Aftermarket yes, but I thought crawl control (sunglasses holder dongle) came with the rear locker aka OR, Pro

Didn't know that. I didn't have one built/ordered and bought one off a local dealer for a nice price so can't/shouldn't really be complaining. By factory do you mean standard models sitting at dealers, just tying to clarify.

All Manual OR and Pro come from the Factory with the Rear Locker and Sunglasses Holder as Standard Equipment

    Glad you're ok.

I support your OR desire. I have driven both sport and OR and think the OR rides much nicer. Plus rear locker. Plus black trim pieces. Can't go wrong either way though. Good luck with the hunt!

Which one you get I think depends on how much you plan to mod. I was nearly indifferent between the OR and SR5 because the overlap on stuff I would have to do was nearly complete except for the rear lockers. However the ORs cost more.
