    I tried an older version of that device and ended up selling in a garage sell.

    I ended up getting an older access point that I hardwired to my router.

    If you are looking to get better wifi coverage you are probably better off getting better antennas first. If that doesn't work then a WAP setup as a repeater would be a good bet. This device is just a basic repeater. It isn't a bad option; but there are better options.

    Can you relocate your netgear router to someplace closer to the middle or shop side of your house? That would be the best/cheapest option. Do you have network cable in your house already?

    Yeah, sounds like you are in a pretty set position on your equipment then. That device should work ok; but you are going to have to plug it in between the shop and house so as to boost the signal while still getting a decent signal.

    No opener at work. I got here at 1 and my department looked liked a bunch of 6 year olds played with everything. I just now finished putting everything back. It's gonna be a loooooong day.
