    Yep; kinda slow in here tonight. I got one of the front shocks on my 4Runner installed again and cranked up the torsion bar a bit. Yes - I know it is going to make the ride a little rougher. Anyone who has ever seen me off road will know that isn't a concern.

    What Areas should I avoid when looking for places to live? I'm interested in northern DFW from Trophy Club to Plano. My son will be going to a Deaf and Hard of Hearing School in Plano and I will be working at Lockheed Martin by the Reserve base.

    My cousin lives in Grapevine and enjoys the overall lifestyle there. Other than that I prefer to live in the country.

    Ouch, that is a tough split on commutes. I would say Grapevine to North Fort Worth/Keller area would be best. Sucks that you are having to gofrom the base in Fort Worth to North Dallas, I can't imagine there would be a time you won't hit bad traffic. For that commute, the worst part would be coming from plano to Fort Worth through H-E-B area, unfortunately where you are headed there is not a good way to avoid it.

    Not sure how this commute will work for you. It takes a solid hour+ from the base to Plano. I work about a mile from the base and made that drive a few weeks back to see a friend. A little over an hour and no wrecks or anything.
    If you have someone to help pickup and drop off your son that would help with the distance.
    I like the Keller area but due to traffic on i35w and loop 820 in North Richland Hills I passed on living there. There are nice parts in most of the cities all over the DFW area.
    Not sure on if there are other school options for your son but Aledo is a real nice town with good growth and schools. Plus its an easy commute to Lockheed.

    X2 west of ft. Worth is where it's at almost no commute and more house for your money.

    The commute on 820 where it interests 35 is beyond stupid congested and the new construction isn't making things better for now. Then it's still another 45 minutes at least on top of that.
