Keith - we kegged the 5 gal of raspberry wheat tonight. I am a solid believer in 1 month fermentation/conditioning in the primary now. This is my second beer to brew and it turned out pretty clear. I forgot to add the whirlfloc during the boil and do not have a filter.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
    Well that explains it!

Not sure what it explains, but it does.

Well after I got rear ended a couple of days ago my bumper was pushed up a tad. So I just hooked a tow strap to a tree and pulled. Worked like a charm.

    Weird thing happened though...

As I was pulling I had the rear diff locked with the air locker, and I was pulling I heard air escaping from somewhere. So I got out and listened thinking I may have put a hole in the tire or something. Turned out it was coming from my gas door. Opened it up thinking I knocked a gas line loose or something but it was actually my rear diff breather (its relocated there) so my question is that is the ARB locker designed to leak a little air under load? And if it makes any difference, when the strap got tight it pulls my truck backwards while its still in drive, foot off of the gas though. So it would go from 5mph dead stop and pulled slightly backwards as the recovery strap did was it does...

Or could it just be the oil in the diff heating up and pushing air out...

The 3-4 week period lets it fully complete fermentation, clean up left over "floaties", and smooth out the flavor. So far I'm sold on it. My cream ale will be the second test for this method.

Did the tranny flush and accessory belt replacement with help from the girlfriend today. The belt was stupid easy. Way easier than I thought it would be. The tranny flush wasn't hard but it was a longer and messier process.

Congrats on staying awake half a day.

I still need to install my cooler. Has anyone here installed an aftermarket cooler?
