    It should be fine. What gauge wire are you using?
    Your amp probably wont be making 1800watts very often if ever.

    Doesn't the remote wire tell it to turn on? The power and ground are always hooked up anyhow.

    Josh is right. The remote wire is the "switch on" wire that tells the amp to activate when the headunit powers on.

    The amplifier is a multiplier. The "gain" adjustment is the multiplier/factor. You put in a specific voltage and the amp multiplies it and gives you a specific power output.

    No, the headunit varies the voltage. So the headunit generally outputs anywhere from 1-5V at maximum volume. Let's say your headunit says, "5V Pre-Outs". That's 5V with the volume turned all the way up. When you're listening at a lower volume it's no where near 5V. So basically you vary the output by changing the voltage you send to the amp.

    What two wires? You mean you have two amplifiers that each need a remote turn on? If that's the case...yes, you can parallel them on the same lead from the headunit. That will work just fine. I have done that in my truck so it turns on the processor and the amp.

    I believe so, both of mine are hooked up to the same spot, one is for my mono block and the other is for my amp.

    Yeah I didn't see it till Rylan quoted it. It's fine to wire more than one thing on it. It's a super low voltage trigger wire. You can wire a ton of amps using one wire.
