Well me and Alex got the OME struts and 886s on my truck tonight.

The alignment is off that bad surprisingly, although it does have quite a bit of caster...

UCAs might be in the future, we will see. Hit some curbs at speed and didnt feel anything rubbing.

Truck feels way better with this suspension set up

And Zech that we ended up getting that bolt loose. We just had to take off the skid plate and get at it from the other side, cane off really easy actually...

Broke one socket tonight, and I am super impressed with my craftsman wrenches. In our attempt to get that stubborn nut loose we tried pushing up on the wrench with a 3 ton jack. We started lifting the truck up off of the jack stands with that wrench and it didn't break, bend or anything!

And I introduced Alex into the awesomeness that is know as Snap On ratchets..

The other side of the bolt was blocked by the skid plate

The skid plate was blocking the bolt from rotating?

No no. We were trying to turn the nut at first. Then we figured we would try turning the bolt instead thinking maybe that would be easier to turn. So the skid plate had to be removed to get to it.

I still don't know why you had to remove the skid plate for the struts to be swapped. You can get to the alignment bolts to loosen the LCA with out taking off the skid.

We didn't remove the LCA to swap your coils. Not that I remember at least.

They can be loosened to make it easier to move the LCA. It's the way I have done mine the last 2 times.

Kind of quiet in here today. Maybe tomorrow Keith will post with his 20/20 vision. I wonder if Adam was able to get his truck to a shop to get the front end aligned.

Yep, my truck took a beating on I-20. I was coming back from West Texas and I drove right into that storm. I have not been able to get it into the local body shop because they keep M-F 8-5 hours (lucky F*ers).

better get that taken care of quickly.

my wife was driving down 281, got pelted. the road got quickly covered in sleet & tiny hail stones and she slid off the road. damaged the rear bumper & ground effects. total so far is over $7k.

I just had a couple grand in hail damage. The insurance already cut me a check; now I am just trying to get into the shop.

Alignment actually wasn't that bad... Well it was, but driving on it wasn't. Got it taken care of today though. I'll post a pic of the specs.
