Went riding around in jeeps today. First off I'm pretty sure the guy who was renting them out was a moron. He told all of us that on the trails we need to be in 4lo with both the front and rear lockers in at all times. The "trails" were more like gravel roads. Pretty much the same condition as the main roads at bridgeport. Then I when I told everyone that it could be done in 2wd they thought I was retarded. I mean I of all people would know what you can do in 2wd. So yeah they drove around all day through hair pin turns and turns you had to back up to get around in 4lo, locked front and rear.

Because it sounds better for dumbasses who do not know any better when they say they were in 4Lo and locked front/rear.

It was unbelievably annoying. I eventually gave up telling them if they unlocked the diff's the jeep would actually turn worth a damn

I came across several of those rent a Jeeps up there. Some dumb ass girl didnt yield to me on Imogene. I had to find room on the edge of the FUCKING cliff when there was none to begin with. Yes there is a jeep on the other side of me.

That's a little different than what you told me your plan was. Lmao.

What made you go that route? And what did you do with all the stuff on your truck? Trade it in with it?

Oh and have fun doing any maintenance yourself on that. Good luck with the spark plugs in particular ;)

You are thinking of the previous gen F150s. This one has the 5.0 and there is tons of room under the hood.
Also dont really plan on too much maintenance. Drive and enjoy it. Dont dump money into this and instead look at a trail rig in the future.

I knew the older f150s were damn near impossible. Like you don't change them out unless you absolutely had too

Did you buy this one on impluse? Trade in the truck with everything on it? How much did they give you

Been looking at something different for a while. Just didn't know what till last week. Decided I wanted something I could enjoy and not mod the crap out of it. Few small things planned but nothing crazy. Exhaust, tune, and a winch should round it out. It already has lift and wheels so add that to nav, leather, HIDs, sun roof, and other nice options it does not need much.
