That may have been it, but the paint looked like military matte gray from the distance I was at. Hummm, may have to take a drive with the telephoto lens later today and see if it's still there.

If it's a matte gray and has the longer, thinner engines, it's a T-43. They teach aircrew navigators how not to be replaced by a Garmin.

I could only see the tail sticking out from one of the larger awning/hangers on the north side of the airport. My father flew the 737's for SWA from the late 70's till '96. Before that he was flying them in Saudi. The plane looked bigger than what I would recognize as a 737 airframe, but from the distance and against the smaller jets near by it was difficult to judge. Will take a detour on my way into work tomorrow to go down Midway to see if its still there.

If it was under an awning, it was definitely that -700. I'll get a pic on my way to work too

Cool deal, looks like it may be raining in the AM anyways. Thought about going out this evening, but a couple fingers of bourbon is saying otherwise.

In other news, who's got recommendations for small batch bourbon? Going through my bottle of Angel's Envy faster than I'd expected and looking to continue expanding my experience with another fine option next go around.

How long has he been with SWA?

In other news - center caps for the MK6's arrived earlier than planned (as did my WeatherTechs)

All I can think of is Carswell, with Bergstrom's old guard unit. 924th, I think, now 301st.

I work right by Carswell. They actually use our building as a landmark or reference. Last year the Blue Angels were practicing before an air show. It was nuts how close they got to our building. Planning to bring my camera on a regular basis to try and get more pics of the planes and occasional helicopter.

We used to get buzzed by FiFi (B-29 Superfortress) a couple times a year when she'd fly off to the air shows. First time think everyone hit the deck, second time I was scrambling for a window to get a view.

Was actually just working on shots from the Alliance show last year:

And while I like the Blue Angels, always been more of a USAF Thunderbirds fan myself, even more so now that friend of the family, Major Jason Curtis is flying with them, lead solo this year!

Jason was flying opposing solo last year, #6, seen here not inverted.
