You should have bought the soft shackle from Trail Toys aka @SMKYTXN
It would have been a little cheaper, supporting a TW member owned company, and Nathan is a cool guy.

And it will be known simply as a Carry License as the holder can carry either way (according to Austin).

I'll be curious to know final cost and quality of the work when it's all said and done.

I've heard people say that we should be able to open carry under the constitution. I personally like that you have to receive some additional "training" to carry in public...regardless of whether it is open or concealed. There are plenty of law abiding idiots out there.

Agreed. My wife and I think that owning/carrying a gun should be no different that owning/driving a car. You have to prove you understand the laws and able to handle the car in order to get a license, and they take that right away from you if you prove unable to keep between the lines. Idiots in cars kill far more people than guns.

The bubba rope soft shackles work just fine, my only beef with them is that they advertise their capacity with their breaking strength. Any and all recovery gear should be listed with their safe working load limit, not their breaking strength. My soft shackles have a working load limit of up to 16,000lbs, depending on the configuration. But they have a safety factor of five built in, meaning the breaking strength is 80,000lbs.

Recovering from my first trip to NYC. I'm happy to report I did indeed spot a number of Tacomas right in the middle of Manhattan. I am however happy to be back home. Still researching what lights I'm putting behind the on-order mesh grill for the truck.

Just look at the build thread
$2400 is cheap. My dad's 60" zero turn was in the $4000 range.
