That's interesting. That was pretty much the only reason I checked out ToD.

Similar experience. TRDparts4U decent customer experience. Actual parts guys kind of an A-hole.

I much prefer to get my OEM stuff from Toyota of Grapevine.

If buying or servicing a truck go to Patt Lobb in McKinney, I have bought 3 vehicles from them and they have beat every other dealer each time. Service dept is good too.

ToD installed my lift and my supercharger. They were good to work with on both - bought the parts through the TRD counter and then they recommended the service manager to work with. I stayed with the service manager when he made the move to Texas Toyota in Grapevine. I think the key to find a good service manager. I ply him with the occasional bottle of Crown just to keep love in the air. I can't remember how many free alignments I've gotten out of him.

Bought the truck at Toyota of Plano, but arranged the entire transaction over the internet. Only went to see the truck when I was ready to sign docs. I was pretty forceful with what I wanted and it was on the ground at Mountain States Toyota in Denver, CO. I had talked to the Denver folks a few times on the phone and they were used to TX customers coming up there to get 4WD. I told the guy that he had to meet my criteria or I was going to CO to get the truck. He managed to find me a 4wd in Texas and get it shipped to the dealership. If you seize control of the dialogue, you can get what you want. Don't deal with a sucky salesman. Be prepared to walk.

No, I'm not a huge craft beer drinking and not a huge beer drinker. I prefer whiskey. I do want to visit Shiner, as I do enjoy their beers for the most part.

    Yes.
If you've got time you could head out to Hye Texas and visit the Garrison Brothers Distillery. They make a mean Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Tried Witherspoon in Lewisville Saturday. Alcohols were ok, but the bar area is way cool. I'll go back just for that. They're all good for mixing.

I like them I had the TX. I am currently drinking the Double Barrel from Yellow Rose. Very nice. Then I have Bird Dog Whiskey's Apple whiskey for fun.

I'm a big fan of the straight. Once it breathes for a minute with an ice cube it brings out more flavor

I have stones, I just don't like them. I like the cubes for the water. I'm not sure what the appeal for them was. What makes round cubes appealing? I think how the note changes after a cube breaks down. For me, it gets more oaky/walnutty, if that makes sense.

    Just an FYI...

After three years in business, FireWheel Brewing Co. will be closing its doors on Nov. 15.

FireWheel founder and head brewer Brad Perkinson on the brewery’s Facebook page:

On Saturday, November 14th 2015, FireWheel Brewing will be throwing the Midnight Ninja a 3rd Birthday Party, one of the biggest parties we have ever had. After that party has finished, FireWheel Brewing Co. will be closing its doors permanently. I know to some, this will come as a surprise, but just know that it is the best decision for FireWheel. I would like to thank all who have helped me, Brad Perkinson, realize my dream of owning and operating a brewery, and making the best craft beer I could. Even now as it comes to an end, we are making some of the best beer we ever have, and it will be all available during the Ninja Party! I do not want to go into details about the shutdown, but just know that I am grateful for the time I had as a brewer/owner and I am looking forward to the next opportunity, whatever that may be.

The Rowlett, Texas-based brewery opened in 2012 with a small four taking system located in a 2,500-square-foot building and had been working on getting a canning line set up to can beers in recent months.

According to the post, FireWheel will continue to sell beer until Nov. 14.
