it's the dealer, I have no problem paying their department to install it considering I bought the truck there, and they sell the stuff there, and install it
    will do

Think I have missed out on some money if people are paying $950 to install that stuff.

it's just a quote, first one I got. My wife wanted to see a final cost of the lift installed, before she decides. She's not wanting to spend that much. $3k is about where she wants to be. I'm not really in a rush, but I don't feel like fucking with it. I've modded both my vehicles and don't have any desire to do this truck. I'm paying for the convenience this time!

Paying for the convenience I can understand; just not afford.

that includes an alignment, not really a huge difference, but I also don't know what the lift calls for vs labor rates. I think he said 9.5 hours is book. At $100/hr

again, it's just the first quote. I was there getting the 5k maintenance done so I humored myself and went to talk with them about the lift options

Tandem installed mine recently, and they will have their own alignment machine within a month or two. Cost me like 450 for labor for install total.

and this being dropped many times, and a few other friends in my garage
    [IMG]

I am done for now. I'll let someone else fuck with it. I've never lifted, can't be any worse than lowering, but I don't want to spend all weekend in te garage these days. My work schedule sucks and I only realistically get saturdays completely off, I work friday morning and sunday night

I think we are installing that same lift this weekend on another members truck. I think just beer is involved and hopefully food. No way that takes 9+ hours. There is a damn good shop near me that does alignments for $45. He even uses the old school dials and lights and does mess around with that laser stuff.

You mean we ran into problems, had to make a parts run, and then pick up a specialty tool.

I'll put a bid in for $925 for the install ;)

But seriously that's a half day lift to install, If you know what you are doing. Fill day if you don't.
