    Hm, when I had mine done the guys at the store said the limit was 35% so that's what I have :notsure: I wish it was darker

    It changed a while back.

    I also don't run front plates on all my cars. I also have a good relationship with many local pd and many other cities since I seem them every week. Not being a dick on the rode and military plates probably help some. And the funny misfire my car produces at idle has a cool factor that may help as well...

    I think you'd be fine doing 20-15%

    Not if u wanna pass inspection. The law in the front is 25% with a -2% grace area for manufacturer defects. I used to do state inspections and I attended the police academy :thumbsup:

    If the tint matches the rear of the vehicle, there will be no issue. Most tints of rear windows/glass are pretty dark. But if you are a douchebag and get limo tint, a strip across the top of the windshield, you wont pass inspection. The technicality in the law for plates is the manufacturer has to have a mount for the plate to go on, not drilling holes in a bumper without a designated plate area.

    Yeah ok... keep thinking that

    The first part you're wrong. Dead wrong. You can have a limo tinted eyebrow if it's not past the as1 line OR 5 or less inches wide. As for the tint matching the rear... no. 25% or more.

    the second part you are semi wrong. It's a grey area. So it's up to the officers discretion because it's a bull shit law and most don't enforce it.

    Well I have inspection stickers I my vehicles. Have for the last 5 years. Attending the academy and being on the streets is two different things. Maybe a douche rookie with nothing to do hands out tint tickets. But I've never had an issue. Even my super slammed Sierra in Frisco never had an issue. Maybe I'm lucky? But a big majority of people I know have tint that is darker than legal. I'm not sure why this is even a big deal right now. Speeding is illegal. I'll venture out and say most do it. If and when I have a problem with my tint I'll address it then. I'm not going to stress about it. As I said most officers don't care. I've had mine metered by a trooper buddy. My fronts were 12% if I remember correctly. I think I've had a total of 5 tickets since I started driving. I'm 32. No tickets in 2-3 years. Don't be a dick, you'll be fine.
