    Hey guys- there may be a better thread for this question but I need some info on Texas emission testing-
    I’m thinking of moving to the Fort Worth Area and need to know if the test includes a visual inspection/ tailpipe test.

    I’ve got long tube headers so I’m missing the two manifold cats. I pass a OBDII test no problem with a simulator but I’d fail a visual or a tailpipe test.

    Most shops just do an OBDII test, some nosy places will look underneath.

    Get your inspection done at an inspection only place, like Sticker Stop, or some where like it.

    So my first turkey smoke came out great. Smoked for 10 hours, at 235-250°F, 12.17lb turkey, internal temp 183°F. Defrosted it in the brine for a few days. Rubbed it with 2 sticks of butter and rubbed on some mixed seasoning from Joe's BBQ. Came it better than I could have hoped for.

    Thanks it was my first time cooking and carving one myself. Of course I only had to make one actual cut the rest just melted off the bones. Now that I've gone one out of the way. I won't be under as much pressure on Thanksgiving when it counts

    Ive done one for years and its the best. family loves it. Ironically, Mother N Law is in charge this year so back to the baked bird. LOL.
