Well, in the big picture, whats the old saying... It aint over until the fat lady sings. I seriously doubt there's a fat lady in sight yet.

As for you personally, accept that shit has changed, work hard, play hard, and set a long term future goal. Your in a golden position for employment or even starting your own business. Take advantage of it.

We're not sure what happened. He had a week off, was supposed to head back out in the field tomorrow. They found him in his bed at home.

I'm hoping it wasn't alcohol or drugs. He didn't seem like the type, but you never know....The field is a completely different world from the office... And dying in your sleep at age 31 just makes you think....

When I heard you say that, the first thing that popped into my mind was heart problems. Reminds me of how one of my dad's coworkers died while working in his yard of a heart attack, since then I don't let my dad do any yard work alone..

    You don't want to know...

As you know, the oil field (I'm assuming) is a tough business. Between the hours, physical labor, stress, and chemicals I'm surprised how long a lot of those guys last.

Sorry to hear about the loss. That's way too young.

Hate to hear it Keith. Don't let it eat you up; that won't do either of you any good.
