DONT TAKE THE INTERNET CLASS! my friend did it and it's a 8hr online thing. They make you watch the videos and everything b/c you have to keep on pressing the next Button every like 30 sec. He said it was the worst and most boring experience of his life

I'm researching my options, DD and Deferred adjudication.

Defensive driving: I enter in a guilty plea, pay for a defensive driving class and pay the ticket and court fees.

Deferred adjudication: I enter in a guilty plea, have a 90 day period where I can't get any more tickets, and pay the court fees and ticket.

So far I don't see why I should put myself through a DD class. Seems like more effort with the same result?

I'm sure I'm missing something here. Someone please correct me.

you are correct, i have always done deferred adjudication, i hate the DD classes, especially tha internet one... I know a ticket lawyer that was a judge for 20 years, said even if u get a ticket within the 90 days, as long as its in a different city, you can do deferred for that ticket as well cause no city talks to the other about tickets... i got a speeding ticket in grapevine, then 2 months later rolled through a redlight in frisco and got pulled over got a ticket for that, did deferred again and neither ticket is on my record and my insurance stays tha same rate.:D

3 years straight of no tickets, first year of driving I actually went the speed limit. I got tired of being tail gated, cut off and all the pissed off faces, so now I do 5-10 over

I still don't know how much the fine is for. It says on the back of the ticket not to call or anything for 3 days, to make sure the court has time to get the record of the citation.

I've always ended up paying the tickets because i can't sit through a DD class.

DD Class guarantees your insurance wont find out about your ticket as long as you don't get another one a in the year from the date of completion.

Deferred adjudication is great as long as you dont get another ticket. If you do your F%cked and back to square one.

this isnt true if you know what your doing, or if you hire a ticket lawyer. i have a friend thats had 4-5 tickets within tha 90 days and did deferred on each ticket, all of em wiped off his record... and i myself have had more than one ticket in the 90 day probation and just did deferred on the other tickets and have nothing on my record. screw the system, dont let the system screw you!:D

If your under 25, you have to take defensive driving with deferred adjudication.

At the end of 09 I got nailed twice in one month. One in Palmer, the second in Ennis.

I had to do defensive driving for deferred adjudication (being under 25) and take it again to get the second one dismissed.

I did it online, twice in one day... It sucked!

Never had a ticket before, haven't had one since.

Did I mention Palmer wrote me a ticket for 73 in a 65 on Christmas Eve while driving to see the family???

I've just lived here for a couple years.

I don't want to give out exact streets, but I'm in north west plano near frisco.
