    i finally go back to work tomorrow.

    did i tell yall about our toliet issues?? we took off our old one and somehow their was a sharpie clogged in it :confused:

    anyway we bought a new one and now i have to regrout the tile around it.

    After 2 weeks of being off from work I called in today to try and get a load to leave today. They just told me to call back till tomorrow maybe they would have something for me. Sooo...another day off for me I guess.

    Yeah average load is1,300 miles. I usually run to Georga and the Carolinas. I get paid by the miles so short runs aren't worth it.

    I am not sure what Tacorun gets per mile but it can vary alot depending on the type of load. Refer loads pay more than dry van. Also if permits are needed for an oversize load with escorts it can raise the price. Multiple stops raise up the rate to the driver as well.
    From what I see, a lot of our clients see close to $2 a mile but I have seen as high as $8 for oversized loads going from Texas to Pennsylvania.

    Most companies pay from .30 to .42 cents a mile. There's a catch to how you get paid. Most companies that pay .42 require you to stay out for long periods of time then you only get 1day home for every 7 you where out. And to top it off they average much less miles a week. So your making .42 a mile but only average 2,000 miles for the week. When guys like me are making .36 a mile but average 2,800 miles a week and we come home every week and are allowed to stay home up to 3 days regardless on how much you where out. Plus during the holidays it gets slow and we can stay home for weeks!

    I'm guessing that's pay for owner operators so you still have to deduct your expenses. Like fuel plates, insurance,truck payments and the lot lizards.

    Yea those are for OO. When the overhead is subtracted I am sure it's much less that goes to the driver.
