My buddy had one and he got rid of it after 10,000 miles and got a Tundra.

    Smart move right there.
If only half the people knew what I went through with my 08 Z71, they wouldn't consider a Chevy.

Should we vote to disown him?

At least it's not one of the older ones that were completely covered in that gray plastic on the quarter panels....

I can't believe I'm still waiting for mine. Not many people are taking the GB pricing

Well, I went and picked mine up in San Antonio this morning. I need to knock off a little surface rust on the sides of the gears; but I'm hoping to have the third installed this weekend.

Why not? I'm getting stiffed on trade in, I haven't check out what toyota will give me but I got a guy most likely buying my truck on Monday if their mechanic gives it the green light.

I like the avalanches, I'm not too worried about it breaking down cause my good friend has an 05 which is the same year as the one I'm buying and his has 130k and drives it hard and its been in a pretty hard car crash and it still runs great. Plus this one has the Z71 4wd and bilstein shocks.

My dad has an 04 Z-71 and the water pump is going out but that's at 100,000 plus miles. He likes the ability to open the bed into the cab, and the built in tonneau is nice. Also his is not the gay plastic version but has the fender flares

Any of you guys want to meet up in DFW somewhere for a few beers or something in 2012? New to the area, other than work haven't beep to much.

The DFW guys are a pretty active group. Once the weather starts getting decent and we are past the holidays we'll probably start having the every other week Bridgeport runs again.

Speaking of Bridgeport... Any of you local guys no how to remedy a soggy engine? I did try to kick it over once it stalled in the huge water puddle. May have doomed me.
