Still got this bench seat. I know there must be someone out there with a regular cab that wants a bench seat. Probably one more week and then it is getting trashed, I just don't have the space for it.

 

Looking for a mechanic to help one of my friends/mentor to replace a water pump on a 2016 explorer. A shop quoted him 7k which we both agree that they are smoking some rocks. Any leads are highly appreciated.

 

7K?! I realize the position of the pump due to the transverse engine doesn't make accessing the pump easy with moving between inside the wheel well and from the side of the engine bay, but 7K sounds a tad excessive in labor costs. My wife has a 2017 explorer and while it isn't the easiest to wrench on I think your buddy made the right call in trying to tackle this himself. Do you know if the pump failed due to the plastic impeller or something else?
