Texas Edition

This was in the showroom in Mckinney TX. It's a beautiful truck. Much better in person.

That's a good looking truck but $3500 for a wheel and tire set, chrome tube steps, plastic badging, and custom floor mats?? That's insane.

Also, looks like the same wheels from the previous Texas Edition, just gray now instead of black.

is it me or is the fender flares missing ?? looks to clean..

 

Good catch, all the other trucks I've seen have the plastic fender flares.

 

They had both colors last year also I believe.

The SR5 doesn't come with the over fenders. The SR5 Appearance package includes color keyed over fenders.

 

I can buy the wheels and slap them on a sport model. Would be good to get the vin from this truck in order to attain the correct wheel.

 

... Cheap tube steps, no fender flares, take it or leave it wheels... for $3500.. They can keep that edition in Texas... I'll take an edition with a little more substance please. Eh, who am I kidding, I like to build it myself.

All SR5 come with colored key flares. Just not the SR.

 

I've heard this about 'Gulf States Toyota'- adding a profligate amount of cost to a truck by adding $1200 worth of bolt on items and charging $3500. Fortunately here in the central Ohio area, ridicules charges for crap 'add-ons' are almost never seen. You'd have to be a damn fool to pay for that junk. My advice, leave the Gulf States Toyota region to buy your truck, and use the money you save to enjoying the trip back home and build a garage for your new toy.

 

This is true for 2005-2015. Not 2016.
