Texas Edition

Not sure if anyone is still looking at this thread but, if so, was curious if those are factory wheels or aftermarket. I don't see that style in the 2016 Tacoma brochure. Thx

 

The wheels are installed by Gulf States Toyota. Local Toyota dealer sells the complete set of wheels and center caps for $900. I really like the wheels.

 

I really like those wheels. Wish those were an option up here. Just wouldn't pay $3500 for them.

I will probably buy these wheels soon since I just received a 25% parts discount coupon in the mail from a local Toyota dealer.

 

These wheels also come on the GST TSS package as well.( black or silver)

 

My dealer told me these wheels are exclusive to the TSS package (Texas Edition) installed by Gulf States Toyota and implied you can't purchase the wheels only separately. If anyone gets other information on how to get wheels only, please post it. Thx

 

Part number for the silver wheel is 00012-A1554-02 and the black wheel is 00012-A1554-01. List price is $248.75. Keep in mind that this is a Gulf States Toyota part number and will not be applicable in other regions. These wheels can be found discounted 20%-25%.

got my 2015 texas edition for 31k +ttl. They had a 5000 rebate for texas editions,and it even came with factory leather!

 

Does anyone know the offset?

 

VIP Sales follow up is an option on the sticker? Thats almost as silly as listing "nitrogen filled tires" on the sticker. Or on mines, "full tank of gas"

 

Those wheels are a version of the Ultra Wheels Maverick. They have a slightly different offset and have faux bolt heads on them, but are effectively the same wheel.

Ultra makes all the GSS wheels, although they may be slightly tweaked from the ones you can buy aftermarket.

 

If offset is different, then it doesn't help me. I need to know the offset of TSS wheels.

Looking at the options they have on the site for those wheels, it appears it's either +10 or +25 for a Toyota bolt pattern in 17x8. I had +6 for a bit on my old truck for snow tires / wheels and they stuck out a bit past the fender. I'd venture to guess it's going to be the +25 as they look like they sit inside the fender. I'd find it hard to believe they have a TSS / GST specific offset as well.

 

I have 7.5" wide wheels with 15mm offset. 8" wide with 10mm offset would be pretty equivalent, but if it's 25mm, it's gonna cause rubbing issues.

 

Texas edition here, only thing left from the package are the door badges.... the wheels were nice but the same from the previous gen TSS edition. I think I paid like $33k for it.
