Started Keto diet almost 4 weeks ago. I’ve lost 5 pounds and I’ve lost it where I actually wanted to lose it (gut, face, love handles). It’s expensive but I’ve been impressed with the results.

I’ve done 2 of them but that was in 2012 and 2013. They are lots of fun as long as you have warm or cool weather. If it’s really cold you can cramp up real bad and then it’s not so fun.

What makes it so expensive? Are you buying those keto drinks that i see the women on FB try to pawn off? Serious question though.

There’s no Keto drink that I know of. It’s expensive because you buy everything pasteurized and organic. The cost kind of offsets a bit because you don’t consume any processed foods. Our grocery bill increased about 20-25%.

I was kind of kidding about the drinks, but i see the lady friends i follow on FB are always promoting some drink (powder mix i think) that jump starts the Keto process. No clue really. I think ill stick to my IF stuff, but after doing some research i have no doubt the ketogenesis form of eating works as well. May try it one day after i reach a plateau in my weight loss.

Man I would love to but I don’t feel like getting electrocuted again! Lol. Honestly I’m in no shape to do it and I don’t have the time to train again for something like that.

tough mudder looks cool. I might be in for that!

You can weigh in everyday, it seems like you're not the person to worry about day to day jumps. The most informed way to do it is to weigh everyday, but what you can't do is freak out when you're 3lb heavier the next day. I swing 2-3lb and I only weigh 170. Thing to watch is your weekly average. It's long enough to round out the weight spikes due to food/glycogen storage but often enough to see progress.

If you only weigh in once a week, what happens when you were really light/dehydrated/etc the first week then happened to store a bunch of water on your second weigh in, but everything else was on point? You'd have no idea. I'd upload a pic of my MFP weight as I've been tracking at least 3x/week for about 8 months now and it has the entire history of my cut, maintain, and the start of my bulk. It's a crazy jagged line the entire way along, varying 2-3 sometimes 4lb between days, but the trend is very obvious where my nutrition changes.

Edit: I also take my weights strictly only first thing in the morning after relieving myself. Most consistent (albeit slightly dehydrated from sleep) time to do so

    Fucking happy week.

Crazy how easy it is to gain weight but how hard it is to lose it.

Random struggles = making myself take a rest day.

People say rest day is needed for gains but fuck I feel lazy if I don’t goto the gym.

Even if I’m sore as fuck and can’t lift heavy weight, I would still go and lift what I could til failure.

Several forums and threads are showing that it may not be the best idea :pout:

Yeah you need to take a rest day or two. Work out different area every day and split it up. Keep your body guessing. Dont just go to the gym and go abs and curls everyday like most guys in the gym do (not saying this is you). oh and dont ever skip leg day, even if this means its hard to sit down to take a shit.
