    I can’t keep up with you and Steve anyway lol. I don’t have a partner or spotter so I gotta be careful lol.

    It's not keeping up. It's just having a spotter will make you lift heavier weights.

    Rest days, we only go to the gym Monday to Friday. Weekends off. I dont have any goals. I work out cause it keeps me away from the bars. (Beer)

    Everyone thinks losing weight us hard. That weight didnt jump on you over night. Lol plus, just wait till you're trying to gain weight. It's just as hard.

    True true. I’m just hooked on it now cause I wanna see how good I can look one day. See how heavy I can get up to.

    A spotter would be nice for sure. Like currently I can only do 4 sets of 225 5-6 times on bench. Any heavier and it gets sketchy lol.

    There’s been a time or three where I had to rack the bar on the bottom hook cause I couldn’t get it up all the way lol.

    My ‘goal’ is just to get to 190. Then see if I can get to a shredded 180-185. Like see if one day I can get abs or something.

    Gonna be crazy when/if the day comes I want to put on weight. Never pictured myself intentionally gaining weight lol.

    Sucks this thread is so dead. Would love to hear others journeys and meals and ideas

    Definitely a great body transformation story, if you made one.
    I'd like to be shredded some day. But for me, shredding does make me lift more weights. It's just for looks. Lol aesthetic!

    I'm sure you can bench 275 with a spotter. Most people in a gym are willing to help spot if you ask.
    Well it seems like that my max now. :laughing:
    My max was at 315. To many weeks put of the gym.

    I know the feeling. When you work out and you start seeing change. You dont want to stop. When crossfit barely started in houston. I wanted to do that also. Gym and crossfit, but no one wanted to go with me lol.

    Rest days are good for you. Your muscles grow when you rest. Lol

    awesome work man keep it up! Consistency is key.
    Nice work! my goal is to get 300 on the bench been trying for years! lol Trying to get at least 300 on the big lifts....squat,bench and deadlifts. Would love to try to max out, have not tried in years.

    Been doing 5x5 strong lifts in my garage since Feb 2018 consistently 3times/week and made pretty good progress...with light training and cardio on off days. Use to be 225lb 3 years ago and now around 180-190lb. Hell squatting 3 times a week but it paid off

    Just turned 34 @ 5'8 187lb and feeling stronger than my younger years and putting up new PR. Had to deload and reset mid way through to correct my form and it sure does help.

    Screenshot_20181002-101633_StrongLifts.jpg

    squats = teal
    bench = gray
    deadlift = green
    OHP = purple
    Barbell Row = orange
    Weight = red

    Hit my PR on squats on my BDAY 250lb 5 sets of 5

    Damn man! That’s a cool chart and awesome progress. I can only hope I stay in shape when I’m 34.

    You’ll get that 300 in no time

    It’s the best motivation for sure. Maybe I can get in such good shape that I can quit my job and just be one of those fitness model things that post pics on social media for money :pray: lmaooo

    Also to the squatting 3x a week, may want to consider just once or twice.

    If you’re squatting 3x a week then no way you are going as hard as you can cause your legs should be jello with that lol.

    Maybe just go hard on like Monday and then Thursday or similar. Gotta give your muscles time to rebuild. Constantly tearing them is just gonna hinder you. Unless you’re happy with your results. Just an opinion I came up with from days of googling and reading about muscles and workout plans

    You can make it happen!

    Saw one of the hottest chicks at the gym yesterday. She said she was 5'1 at 150. Solid!! But she works out at 12pm :annoyed:
