Its not really in Arlington this day and age. 200 is the longest they have out there. I need to get back out there to do some more load development for my 7mag. I really want to try some different projectiles but its so hard to come by inventory right now.

That's no lie! I used to go to Triple C but that's gone.

Bummer about Triple C. Kind of messed up how that all went down.
Thankfully I have some places to stretch the distances but I usually keep it at 250. That is how far the feeder is off the back porch with a green motion light and 2 way chime for pigs. We had fun last year stocking the freezers and practicing our long shot. Found the .308, .280, and .264 win mag can all get 2 pigs with 1 shot at that distance.

Really liking this p320 platform the modularity of it is fun. Just picked up the compact slide and frame this past week gonna go down this rabbit hole.

Something as simple as switching powders can make all the difference in the world.

Here is my 200 yard groups the other day. This was with H4895 powder. The powder everyone is shooting. I just wasnt happy with the vertical.
    20210807_120613.jpg

I am shooting in a serious match in South Carolina in Nov. We are shooting both group and score at 300 meters, but on 200 yard targets. The best of the best will be there.

I built this rifle solely for that purpose. Today is the first day i was able to shoot longer than 200 yards. I have steel at 200,300,400, and 500 at the deer lease, so I came out here, walked 40 paces past the 300 steel, and set up paper targets.
I brought a few different powders to test, and thank goodness I did. Here are the load testing targets.
    20210807_120351.jpg

I narrowed the tune down to between 30.4 and 30.8, so i loaded up thos, and shot again.

After i shot these, the wind starting kicking up, and I decided to run a little wind drift test with 2 different rifles.

1st is my short range 30br. It shoots a small light flat based bullet out of a very slow twist barrel. I knew the wind would push it, so I aimed far left on the outside of the red circle.

2nd is the rifle I am testing. 6BRA that shoots a heavy high BC boattail low drag bullet out if a fast twist barrel. I was aiming on center dot.

At 340 yards the wind pushed that light weight bullet 3X as far.

Love this thing. So easy to shoot. My 1 complaint was the flush mag, but I found this Large pro base from tactical development and its perfect for my hand now. Also got a deal on the romeo zero from a buddy- barely used for $100
