Looking to switch LTC pistols. Currently carry a XDS in 45, and thinking about 43X in 9mm...... I am not a pistol guys... so asking you guys here. Thoughts?

reasons.... I don't fully like the "get back on target" time with the small frame of the 45. If I carried my 1911 in 45, I am great with that, but its just too big to carry.
Thinking the 9mm reaction time would be faster and more accurate.

Don't own a Glock. Never owned a Glock. so don't know alot about them.

 

Glocks are great, but I can't recommend the Sig P365XL enough. I've got a beer gut and still find appendix carry comfortable. It also fits in the 5.11 fanny pack really well, even with the red dot. The standard iron sights are fantastic as well. Probably not a Glock guy anymore (though I've never shot the 43X, only handled it). The P365XL shoots great, for me atleast.

 

I used to be a die hard Glock fan and have had several 43x’s you’ll be really disappointed with the trigger compared to your 1911. It’s a phenomenal gun once you accept that you’ll have to spend money on sights at a minimum. You can get sheild mags to increase capacity to 15rds from 10 and they’re flush fit. A flat trigger shoe and polish job on the internals make a would of difference.
I’ve had a 365xl also it was a great shooter however the trigger was all mushy till the break the 43x has a defined wall and great reset.

I don’t know if your into rds on pistols I had a rmrcc on my last one and could ping torso sized steel at 75yd no issue free handing it. Plus ease of maintenance and the reliability of the plarform is comforting but dayum they fugly.
Only Glock I have in the collection currently.
