Hey TW... long time reader, finally deciding to post. I'm hoping to buy my first Tacoma this year. I can afford it now, but want to get my credit score up a little higher and save a little bit more money so that I can still live the same lifestyle, with just a better truck!

Currently driving a regular cab Ram. Before that was a Titan, and before that a Tundra. Out of all the trucks I've driven, the Titan was by far my favorite. Loved that thing. Had every bell and whistle on it, but drank gas like it was water! Always have loved the Tacoma's and really like the size.

Planning to buy a 2014 DC Sport 4x4 with Nav and towing package. I keep going back and forth on Nautical Blue and Pyrite Mica. I imagine I'll finally decide at the last minute. Question for you fellow GST states. Did you find it hard to get a non-GST package? That's all I see out there.

Thanks for a great site. Guess I'm officially one of y'all, minus the truck ;)

Welcome to TW. There's plenty of non-GST specific Tacomas around in my area even though they are GST Tacomas.

Good to know. I haven't seen any on the lots, but have seen them on the roads. If all else fails, I don't mind the hour and half drive to an Oklahoma dealer to get the job done.

Just to claify, you're talking about a truck configured by GST after it is manufactured, such as the TSS?

Yeah... the over priced appearance packages GST likes to throw on them.

Ya ya, I actually just got rid of a 2012 TX Pro. It had TRD exhaust, wheels and I don't know what else that GST had added. Paid 1% under invoice for it new.

In either case man, the non GST modified versions of the Taco are all over the place in the part of the GST area. Good luck in your search.

Thanks, Joe. I don't know why but that sport package just appeals to me. Although, 1% under invoice isn't too shabby!

I was pleased man. I think I paid something like 29 and change...put 77k on it in 29 months and got wholesale of 23 on trade. Did about the same deal on the 4Runner (1% under).
