Texas Meet, September 26-27th, College Station

I'm bringing my wife with me. I don't think anyone is planning on bringing kids right now since the consensus seems to be that there will be a little rowdiness when the sun goes down.

 

I think it's time to start collecting money for this shindig so we can reserve the park for Saturday. All we need before we show up is $100 to hold the date. The other hundred is due when we arrive. Lets start with $10 per person so if you bring a significant other that would be $20. Y'all want me to just collect the money through PayPal so we can pay the man with one payment?

Any money collected in excess of $200 will be returned proportionally after the meet, because technically in addition to the $200 we need $100 as a fully refundable deposit on the facilities.

 

We cant just bring the money when we get there?

 

If we want to reserve the place then we need to pay $100 ahead of time.

 

i prefer charcoal... but we could try and see how the deer balls cook on it i guess... but id rather have charcoal as my main option. have to slow cook this stuff

I'll bring the pit, but i won't arrive till late on saturday though and i have some mesquite charcoal left over i think from the SA meet. My girl said she would come but she's not a camper and would like to stay at a hotel so i might just leave her.

Anyone know if Opersteny is a MD? There is a Steve Opersteny that works at the hospital that I know.

I haven't had a chance to ask him if he's affiliated with BVORR in any way but then again there aren't a lot of Opersteny's I know.

 

That would be helpful, i didn't do a good job of explaining that to her and the purpose of the shovel.

 

no need for a shovel. its all about aim and balance lol! just reassure her u will bring TP just in case. and tell her there will be women there to coach her thru it... it aint that hard.

 

Count me in, I live maybe 10 min. from the off road BVORR, tho I have never been there. I will have to go scout the place out this weekend. If there is anything I can do to help organize this, let me know.

is anyone interested in doin some simple mods during this meet? i always have tools with me. if anyone is wantin their LEDs changed on their cluster panel we could always use someones plug in the back of the truck... this would work wouldnt it? id be happy to help, i got a soldering iron. wouldnt mind doin some other simple mods to my truck if possible

 

I would like to finish up our gauges before we head out there. It'll also give us some practice to help others.

Oh, and my friend wants to do his as well, so I'll probably buy a soldering iron as well to help him out and such.
