sorry, there was a misunderstanding all around.

WTF, I guess that's what we get for not reserving sooner?

Does that mean it's closed all weekend, or just during the wedding?

    CRAP!

"the place will be closed" sounds like no meet-up, but we need clarification

Yeah, this sucks some serious ass. I can't blame the owner though. On top of the fact that the wedding probably pays more than offroading, if I were him I'd have to take a for sure thing over an unsure number of weekend offroaders.

Yeah, I'll get some clarification from the guy and update as soon as I can talk to him again.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who immediately though of a change in location is the next step.

Those options are good, but if possible lets keep it as close to college station as possible so people don't have to rearrange plans too much.

Knowing what I do about weddings (not a lot) I would wager that it was probably reserved a long time ago, before we even came up of a meet.

Hell I've already got the weekend request off...we could head to Hidden Falls (Boulder CreeK) if that's what it comes too...

When I talked to Steve at the beginning of last month, the park was still available.

I think I'd rather do Long Ranch than boulder creek, but I don't really care that much. Maybe we modify the poll for a venue change?

I just emailed Steve and here is my question and his reply:

Andrew: "I've heard that BVORR has been reserved for a wedding on the weekend that my club was planning on coming out (Sept 26-27). Just wanted to make certain of the details. Has it been reserved for the entire weekend, or just for the hours of the wedding?"

Steve: " Andrew, The weekend of Sept 19th-20th has been reserved for the wedding. The weekend of the 26th-27th is open for your group if you still want to come. Steve"

We are golden, woah, that was a quick freakout over here.

    Just emailed him:

9/11/09 Kevin, I thought the weekend you were talking about was the weekend of Sept 19th-20th. It is the weekend of Sept 19th-20th that BVORR is closed for a wedding. The Weekend of Sept 26th-27th is still avaliable. Sorry for any misunderstanding. Steve

Okay, if Kevin has already issued you a refund as he did me (very on top of things), simply log into paypal, select the details for that transaction and near the bottom of the page there is a link to "issue refund". That should fix everything with no transaction fees.

Sorry for all the confusion today.

Looks like we're gonna just pay upon arrival since only 5 folks have put money up so far.

Refunds will be issued. If you refunded your refund, you'll receive another refund, lol.
