The participant form has been updated.
Judging begins at 11:00..awards at 2:00!! I wasn't planning on staying there all day!! I thought this was just a couple of hours in the morning.
I will probably head up there at 7:00 - 8:00
This first come first served covered area is probably for the local dignitaries for the 1,000,000 truck ceremony.

Can Someone at Toyota explain to me why Mayor Castro is driving the 1,000,000 Toyota Truck????? They City of San Antonio, CPS, SAPD/SAFD, Bexar County have NEVER PURCHASED A SINGLE TOYOTA TRUCK!
Take some pride in your city and the investment Toyota has made in it...the mayor deserves a big BOOOOOO!!!! when he rolls up. Talk about a disgrace and embarrassment!

Well, I'll still be driving a rental Yaris, but I'll be there at some point, so please don't run over the silver toy car! :D

Dragging one or two friends there as well. I am getting ready to order a new Tacoma, this could be a great opportunity to check out daily drivers and pick brains on how to do some things.

Fair warning, if I see a TacomaWorld sticker, I'm going to introduce myself!

::EDIT:: Was planning on being there around lunch. Should I go earlier to catch some of you?

Of course not, they only wanna drive around in fords and dodges. Honestly I'm glad they don't drive toyotas since our trucks are so expensive they would really put the hammer down on traffic laws to compensate for the costs of such a nice fleet

Jorge Perez is the city's Director of Building and Equipment Services, the department that purchases vehicles. He said the city is not against Toyota. "Absolutely not," Perez said. "We welcome Toyota."
He said the city has a legitimate need for compact and full size trucks and has 324 such vehicles on the fleet, but no Toyotas.
He said the problem is that no Toyota dealers have chosen to submit a bid.
"The bids are open," Perez said. "The Toyota dealerships have opted not to bid."

Toyota probably doesn't want to do it for the bid prices. The city is not one to pay top dollar, and is more likely a "low bid" purchaser, so that may be why.

I don't know who thought up Lowe's for a meeting place but obviously didn't give much though to how to leave the place en masse. The closest on-ramp is down past Home Depot. Weekend traffic and two stop lights to get to the on-ramp. Things will be underway when you get there. And no mass "roll-up".

If there's a decent turnout the best place to meet is Home Depot. Merge with traffic a lot better and no major break-up of the convoy.

    Just sayin' :humble:

Gates open at 4:30am and parking under the pavilion is first come, first serve. I am thinking I am going to get to Traders Village around 6:30am. Don't wanna take a chance on not getting a space under the pavilion since I don't know what the turnout is going to be like and it is supposed to rain buckets on Saturday. I will look for the convoy from my good, dry parking space. :D
