I'm selling the kit because I don't need it and I never used it, the 2" AAL is worth it, plus he won't have to use a strut compressor he could just slip the shocks on, if he's got the $700 laying around for the OME then go for it. Just offering a really good lift kit for cheap.

I bought Silverback's second hand OME and I am very happy with them. If you get the chance, go for it. offer him more money than Red Raider.. he is a college student, they will do anything for money.

Haha, I am still happy with the ride on them. Just want a little more beef cause of all the extra weight up front. And it's almost anything Sam, though the above listed are true. But it has to be a DAMN GOOD price for the hooking. No one has met it so far lol.

Count me in for Saturday and possibly Sunday My wife has class on Saturday so I will have to drive down after she gets out.

As far as the lift is concerned I believe I will go with the OME lift. The problem is not the purchasing it is the installing. Thanks for all the help everyone. I am still a noob when it comes to lifts and such and to make it even worse I have no mechanical ability.

 

Any one of us could lend you a hand installing your lift. I live in Bryan / College Station if you wanted to drive down one weekend I would be glad to help you out.

I have a strut compressor that makes installing shocks and coils a breeze, and like Rob said there are plenty of us that can help with the install, we love working on trucks especially someone elses

 

Appreciate all the offers to help. I hope there is a wrench party before the meet up at the end of the month.

One last dumb question. On careful consideration I think I just want to keep my 265/75 tires (because they cost me a ton of money) and run with just a 2 inch lift. I have read that some of the guys are just puttinng Billstein 5150s and throwing up a spacer on the driver side. Is it really this easy? Will this lift and level the truck? If so, I am so going to do it before the meet up.......

 

it's really that easy. 5100s though, not the 5150s, and an aal in the rear. you may want to call around to see if people have the 5100s in stock. i'd recommend calling downsouth motorsports. they might be on backorder, which may mean you won't get them in time to install for the meet.
