Started my retrofit this morning. Already geting interesting but seems pretty streight forward. The kit I bought from TRS is very well made and seems to be of a high quality. The wiring connectors are nice and strong. Ususally the connectors are the weakest parts offered in electronic kits.

I waited for the 25% off group sale and the top of the line FX-R kit with all the bells and whistles was $325. I also picked up a donor set of headlamps from Dave so I can take my time.

Yeah I decided the 6000K was just too blue for me so I'm hoping I like the 5000K better. Hoping it is the perfect middle ground between yellowish-white and blueish-white.

Yeah I need to get a donor set of headlights in order to do a retrofit as well because my current headlights have the amber lenses melted from the factory DTRL

Read and bookmarked a lot of material prior to to the purchase. I read too many posts where the OP had installed the Morimoto Mini kit but later replaced it with the FX-R to have a better light output. So I decided to go with the FX-R knowing I will need to do more work.

    You know nothing of me

    :(
Actually I hated it when I first got it. Droned like a bitch, really bad. But for some reason or another after I cut off the tailpipe and dumped it after the axle, the drone went away :notsure:. Must have changed the resonance frequency just enough. That was about 2 years ago, have loved it ever since.

Jamie (jhodge) has one and he said it never had a drone from the beginning for him.
