Yeah, thought it was cool aside from when they spent $3500 on a valve job.

Honestly, TFL is hard to watch. Those guys really strike me as a bunch of goobers who always seem surprized a 4x4 truck can go over some rocks.

It’s cool theyre auctioning it off for charity, and I dig the wrap they did, but my god it looks fugly with that tan soft topper.

They sell that as an “affordable” build, and yet show off their 3500 bumpers, 3500 on the engine, and another 2-3k on the wrap?

Of course it’s affordable if you get it all donated.

Could not agree more. Whenever I see them take anything offroad I'm underwhelmed.

That kid Kase's 24v is a beauty though...

They did a pretty good job when they towed with the model X. Not that I had 100 grand laying around for one, but after seeing how pathetic the range was while towing, it really showed how far E vehicles need to come for me to want one to replace my 4runner.

Generally, I agree. Like I said, I thought their episode on towing with the Model X was really good and informative. Their "budget overlander" build was good, and I liked the ideas for the bed shelf system.

Maybe they have more off road experience than they let on, but I don't think so. That "trail" they were testing in the "Big vs. Little" video was hardly something a pre-runner couldn't make it through, let alone my Corolla if it wasn't snowy, but these guy's minds were blown.

I think I also have a bad taste in my mouth because they said they were building Baby Yota into a "tiny raptor" lol. :puke:

I watch some of it. IMO they do a pretty good job at reviewing things in the real world. Sure - it's not to everyone's liking but there are a lot of different shows around. I used to be annoyed by that Doug guy who reviews cars but he actually knows his stuff it seems. I think it's cool that a father and son do the show together.

In the first video it was an "affordable build" but it seems they quickly abandoned that aspect. Now its "this was expensive but its for charity!" haha

I get less excited since a lot of their videos are in parking lots. It was nice when they did gold mine hill and cliffhanger 2.0. Hopefully cliffhanger starts up again when the snow melts.

Yeah I agree about that soft topper... though I have a feeling it could've looked REALLY good in black. The valve repair thing was a bummer...
